S.NOTEST NAMEREFERENCE OF TESTPURPOSE OF TEST ,TEST RESULT & COMMENTREFERENCE
1Rebound Hammer TestIS 13311 (Part-2)-1992, ASTM C 805-02, BS 6089:1981 and BS 1881: Part 202, BSEN:13791To determining the estimated  compressive strength and uniformity of concrete

Around 36 test conducted on RCC slab and beams and compressive strength of concrete tested range from M16-M30 Grade of concrete

Which is more than M20 as per the latest codal provision of  IS 456:2000
2Ultrasonic Pulse VelocityIS 13311 (Part-1)-1992,  ASTM: C597-83,  BS 6089: 1981 and BS 1881: Part 203 and BSEN:13791To determine the quality of concrete, soundness and density of concrete.

Around 36 test conducted on RCC slab and column and its quality is found to be Doubtful-Good Concrete.

Which clearly indicates that there is presence of minor voids/minor cracks inside the concrete which is not exposed on the surface till now
3Half Cell Potential TestASTM C876-1980 ,ASTM C876 [6]-1991To determine the percentage of risk of corrosion in reinforcement

Around 5 test have been performed on RCC beam and slab. It is  found out that chances of corrosion is 0%-3% in reinforcement bars

As per testing its, clear that the existing reinforcement in members are rusted about 10% of existing diameter of steel
4Carbonation  TestBS EN: 14630If depth of carbonation is greater than cover, then incubation period is over; degradation rate will be accelerated.

4 Samples are extracted and its average carbonation depth is found to be less than effective cover.

It is in the permissible limits as per Indian Codal provision
5pH Value TestBS EN 14630Around 5 test conducted on RCC slab ,beam and column and its quality is found to be alkaline  value
6Cover Depth Measurement IS:456:2000To see the adequacy of concrete cover to Rebars and creation of Contour Mapping of cover depth in RCC Structure.

6 Test were performed on RCC slab, & column& Sufficient Cover is found to be there to all structural members.

It is sufficient as per the Indian Codal  provision IS 456:2000
7Core CuttingIS:456:2000
    IS 516:1959
   IS 1199-1959:    Part 4
BS 1881: Part 4: 1970
ASTM C: 42 – 77
BS EN 13791:2007
Around 4 test conducted on RCC slab ,beam and column and its quality is found to be M21 value.

Recommendations :

1. Central slab area as highlighted need to be dismantle and recast. The new steel will be same as per previous design.

2. Periphery/Low effected slab need to be treated with patch repair as per Repair A and low vicious injection grouting at spacing of 300mm c/c both ways using 12mm NRV nozzles.

3. All the effected beams need to be jacketed by means of RCC jacketing as attached in the report.

4. Some columns need to be treated with patch repair and injection grouting just 1000mm from top area only.
